Youth @ First Pres

Faith and friendships grow here.

What makes First Pres special for families?

You’ll experience the love of Christ through personal connection in an intergenerational context. Or, simply put, you and your kids will be known by name here—and you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other families as well as an adoring cloud of witnesses. It’s a place where we seek to learn and grow in faith, and it’s an exciting time to be here. Check out some examples of our programming below, and know that we’re always open to your ideas.

Sunday mornings

We welcome kids of all ages to worship! You’re invited to

  • A family space in our sanctuary where activity tables keep kids happy while sitting with their parents
  • Our “Especially for Children” message during the service
  • A Sunday school lesson and craft in our kids’ Discovery Zone
  • Staffed nursery care

Service & learning

We emphasize faith and service through

  • Seasonal Wednesday evening Bible study for parents paired with fellowship for kids
  • Monthly service projects with organizations like Seeds of Caring and Friends of Alum Creek and Tributaries
  • Confirmation classes for middle school youth
  • Faith formation classes for high school youth

Fun events

Our slate of offerings changes, but recent examples include

  • Winter Pre-K indoor play
